Upon arriving, I was immediately impressed by the new great looking building (because the general area was not exactly stellar). Going inside I was immediately greeted by the hostess and seated. Nice, clean and well laid out, this restaurant appeared to be a really nice place to eat.
Of course, being in Detroit, I figured I probably should try out the corn beef sandwich and since it was also included in the name of the place I figured it must be good!!
I was not disappointed. Absolutely loved the food. Great flavors, great portions and a very nice place to eat it in. If you're ever in this part of Detroit, give them a try! If I ever go back, this will be a place I will go back to! -

Louie's is one the most popular breakfast spots in Detroit. The staff works like a well-oiled machine. They are most efficient and friendly.
I love the bar; I've only sat there to enjoy my meal, but there is plenty of seating for its many customers. It's fun the watch the hustle and bustle from the vantage point of the bar.
The menu is expansive. They serve anything you could want for breakfast or lunch. I won't run down the menu, as other's have shared what's offered. What I will also vouch for is the quality, freshness and the deliciousness of the food. Everything I ever ordered has been delish. The grits are even the right consistency for me. Grits are a staple for a Southern-raised girl. Most places around here serve them too runny; Louie's gets it right. (smile)
There is plenty of parking in the lot and on the side street; and there's a drive-through. -

Love the food and the service. I would have liked the onions cooked more in my corned beef hash since the onions were crunchy and threw off the texture but it still tasted sooo good. Highly recommend!! Also loved the potatoes (hash browns) and my eggs were cooked perfectly.

This place is just a short drive from the DMC. There is parking (free) and even a drive through. When you walk in it is open and clean with hostess's to greet you at the entrance.
I went with friends from work and we were starving. Everything looked good so I opted for the 1/2 sandwich and soup special. Corned beef with split pea and ham. Soup came first, then the sandwich. Both sandwiches came out quickly- more so than a grilled wrap that someone at our table ordered- probably because hey grill the chicken as ordered.
Portions are huge! Not all food was consumed at the table. It was also an extremely tasty lunch. Hope to get back here to try something else. -

Wonderful Sunday morning experience- great, friendly service- yummy corned beef hash! I wanted more! It's homemade and not from a can- cooked to perfection and great coffee, too! It actually tasted like coffee
